Middlesbrough Web Design Case Study: Cleveland Beekeeping Association
When the Cleveland Beekeeping Association needed a new website, they turned to me for a website that would give them a professional online presence. Their previous site was a self-build on WordPress by a member who wasn’t a web designer. Although well-intentioned, it was poorly structured and failed to attract new members.
I created a bespoke website with a built-in CMS, a shopping cart for equipment and membership payments, and a modern image gallery to showcase the Association’s activities. In addition, I rebuilt their email accounts, sourced suitable images and ensured the site was responsive, accessible and easy to maintain.
As a beekeeper myself, I particularly enjoyed this project. Working closely with the members gave me insight into their digital needs while also allowing me to learn more about their beekeeping expertise at their apiary meetings in Middlesbrough. The result is a professional, user-friendly website that supports the Association’s growth and promotes beekeeping across Middlesbrough and Teesside.
