Hi, I’m Owen, a freelance web designer with over 20 years’ experience building affordable, effective websites that help local businesses attract customers and grow online. I work with clients across Teesside, North Yorkshire and the North East, creating websites that combine professional design with clear results.

As a freelance web designer and developer based in Teesside, I help small businesses by delivering professional, affordable websites that actually get results.
I started out when Google was still a fledgling search engine based in a garage! There wasn’t much in the way of design software in those days, so most websites needed to be hand-coded from scratch (a practice I still enjoy today).
I hold a masters degree from Teesside University, where I worked as a web designer in 2006-2008. Thereafter, I switched from the academic world to the business sector, designing websites for small businesses across Teesside, North Yorkshire and the North east. Over the years I’ve worked with shops, tradespeople, charities and professional services across the region and beyond and, since 2017, the trusted review service, Three Best Rated® has rated me as one of the top three web designers in Stockton-on-Tees.

I design and maintain websites for small and medium-sized businesses across Teesside, North Yorkshire and the North east. Services include custom websites, Wordpress websites, eCommerce stores, hosting, ongoing support and local SEO.
Do you provide SEO?
Yes. Every site I build is SEO-friendly and I also provide ongoing local SEO services to help your site rank for local searches.
How long does a web design project take?
This depends on the level of development but, generally, most brochure sites (4–10 pages) take around 2–4 weeks. More complex websites, such as eCommerce stores, may take longer, depending on requirements.
What are the benefits of working with a local web designer?
Working with a local designer means better communication, faster response times and the opportunity to work with a web designer who understands your needs. My clients value that I’m nearby and available when they need help and particularly appreciate the free 1-to-1 meetings I offer.
